DRONES FOR SURVEY, INSPECTION AND CONSTRUCTION

DJI Matrice 300 RTK

This is the workhorse of drones, the go-to DJI for inspections, mapping, powerlines and more. The DJI Matrice 300 RTK is virtually unmatched in terms of versatility and robustness. A heavy-duty industrial drone, it’s waterproof, has a max flight time of 55 minutes and 6 directional sensors. This is the drone we use most often for FPV inspections and thermal drone projects.

DJI Phantom 4 RTK

The latest DJI Phantom is ideal for precision mapping. Compact and agile, it produces highly accurate and consistent maps from a low altitude. We use it for construction surveys and mapping. With a 30-minute battery life, the Phantom 4 RTK comes with a compatible mobile station so it works well even in locations with limited mobile coverage. We love the integrated flight-planning map, the high level of accuracy and the simplicity of use.

Hovermap

We use our Hovermap payload to offer SLAM-based LiDAR and create 3D high-quality 3D maps. The Hovermap is designed to map hard-to-reach places in a way that is safe, easy and fast, at a speed of 1 million+ points per second. Fitted to a drone, backpack or vehicle, the Hovermap combines advanced collision avoidance and autonomous flight technologies to safely and rapidly map hazardous and GPS-denied environments.

Wingtra Gen 2

We use imagery collected from the WingtraOne drone to help construction professionals quickly map large or unreachable areas for pre-built evaluation. It decreases costs and improves the turnaround time for data acquisition and design data needed for construction while helping contractors stay on track, on budget and on time throughout a project.

We also use the WingtraOne UAS for agricultural data collection as it produces multispectral imagery to provide accurate plant counts or identify plants’ health problems early on. This data can be used to prevent the costly spread of diseases or invasive species. It can also provide valuable insights to boost yield productivity while reducing the need for over-spraying of chemicals in crop maintenance and water management.

Quantum Systems - Trinity F90+

The Trinity F90+ vertical take-off and tail pusher help increase the amount of acreage we can cover on a flight. The increased flight time and extraordinary lift in its design make this a very efficient aircraft. Plus, several different payloads can be swapped out from this versatile drone including but not limited to LiDAR, multispectral and photogrammetry.

We like that the Trinity F90+ has the ability to fly long corridor missions for our road projects using the 2 aircraft we own. We do this not to make the jobs quicker with its up to 90 min flight time, but rather for safety. It's important that we fly the right-of-ways correctly getting the optimal overlap without flying directly over traffic, while keeping our pilots, visual observers and ground crew safe and away from the heavy traffic as quickly as possible.

SIRAS

Created by Teledyne FLIR, the SIRAS is a versatile professional drone that includes both thermal and visible-light sensors. The Vue® TV128 gimbaled dual camera with a high-resolution radiometric thermal (FLIR Boson®) together with a high-resolution visible camera payload produce fantastic images with outstanding FOV. The SIRAS is engineered for maximum data security and optimal performance. We use it for utility inspections, scanning industrial areas, search and rescue, and more. It boasts a 30+ minute flight time, interchangeable payload system, front collision avoidance, swappable batteries and no restrictive geofencing.

Tethered Drones/UAS

Transforming drones into satellites

Tethered drones offer a sophisticated long-term power solution for safe and continuous flight. They can be used for everything from capturing timelapse photography of a process to live broadcasting and streaming of an event to providing security and thermal data during a first response, or whatever the occasion may be. A tethered, powered camera in the sky provides incredible data and flexibility of view.

M600 Pro

The M600 Pro is not the newest drone on the market, but it’s a stable, reliable workhorse that delivers every time. Joining our fleet in July 2023, the M600 will ensure we can carry many different payloads from our YellowScan VX -200, to gas sniffing sensors, and even the X-ray work we do.

It’s got 6 batteries for redundancy and it’s a hexacopter giving this classic drone many advantages over newer heavy-lift quadcopters and hexacopters that use only 2 large batteries. Sometimes using OG equipment is just right!
